October, rocktober...

I love October. The fall is absolutely the best season ever.

If you know me, you know I love Spirit. It's only been 10 years, but I finally made a decent piece of the characters.

I have more, but I'm too lazy to convert them. I'll do it later!

August!!

August came too quickly...the summer went by way too fast.

I have actually been getting a lot of owed artwork out of the way, thank goodness. It's been sitting on my shoulders forever. But first, a personal piece! This, again, is my lion, Tash. I'd been meaning to try out AtomicFishbowl's tutorial on coloring, and I had so much fun with it! Definitely going to be using her techniques in the future...

Also, some horses...
These were long overdue door prizes for some people who entered a contest over at my group on deviantart. This is Talia. Oh, and since the group is a Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron group, this is in Spirit style.

And lastly, this is Riordan.

In terms of life, I went to Comic-Con! It was so much fun and I got lots of loot... My step-sis's going away party [she's moving to Canada] was yesterday. It was fun too, but also had a sad overtone because she's moving so far away. After she moves, my mom and her husband will be moving down to the Malibu area to be with my great aunt, and I'll be moving in with my dad until I can figure out my next plan.

Probably going to be lazy about this blog, too...

I know, I know. I have many other websites and accounts that I blatantly ignore - which is funny, because I spend so much time on the internet and computer anyway, that you would think I would take the time to update them. Apparently not!

Fear not, however. I'll actually attempt to keep this updated, as well as my other websites. I had a sort of epiphany. I spend so much time dreaming about what I want to do with my future, that I never actually take the time to work on making it happen. Instead of spending time creating some art, I spend time browsing, looking at others' art. It's a ridiculous way to spend time, because then I get that 'inferior artist syndrome' where you feel as if you'll never be good enough. I hate that because I know it's totally untrue. Practice is really the best medicine ever.

Anyway, let's see what I have sitting around in my computer...

A WIP of a picture that's been sitting on my hard drive for probably a year now. My lion, Tash.

One of a few model sheets that I did for my animation class. Another version end up getting picked for the cat. This is from our movie "The Cat in the Tree."
